We all must focus on capacity building initiatives of women (skills, attitudes, awareness and knowledge). Only solution is "treat women as human beings". We have to change our attitudes, beliefs,let us not try to condition the mindset of children,young and old. Give them proper education, opportunities, involve them in decision making process. Then only change will come.
Women are equally good at innovations, thinking and finding solutions.

మీరు అంతర్జాతీయ మహిళాదినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా రాసిన వ్యాసం చాలా బావుంది. ఎన్నో వాస్తవాలను స్త్రీ - పురుషుల సంఖ్యలను చూపించీ ఇంకా కొనసాగుతున్న వివక్షతని కళ్ళకి కట్టినట్టుగా చూపించారు. పిల్లలను పెంచే సమయం నుండి మొదలయ్యే ఈ వివక్షత స్త్రీలు ఉద్యోగాల్లో పెద్ద పొజిషన్లకు వెళ్ళేవరకు కొనసాగుతుంది. మా ఫ్రెండే ఎన్నో సార్లు పెద్ద ప్రమోషన్లు తీసుకుంటే భా్ధ్యతలు పెరుగుతాయి, వీకెండ్స్ లో కూడా పని చేయాల్సి వస్తుంది, పిల్లల మొహం అస్సలు చూడడానికే కావటం లేదు ఇప్పటికే. ఇంకా పైకి పోతే కష్టం అని ఎన్నో సార్లు వదులుకున్నది. నేను వదులుకోవద్దని, పిల్లలతో క్వాలిటీ టైం గడిపితే చాలని వారి ముందు 24 గంటలున్నా వారిని పట్టించుకోకపోతే ఏం లాభం,అని నచ్చచెప్పడానికి ప్రయత్నించాను. ఈ మధ్యన బిజీ అయిపోయి తను ఎక్కడ వుందో తెలియదు.
కొంతమంది ఎంతో సమర్ధవంతంగా పెద్ద పొజిషన్లని నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. కొంతమంది ఇంట్లో సహకారం లేక వదులుకుంటున్నారు.

If any anonymous person wants to leave a comment, please read the item which we are objecting.Here, I have posted about the language used in the petition. Don't you have sisters at home? All the cases of 498A are not mis-used. May be few women who are educated and economically independent are filing the cases. What about the women in rural areas? Are men are not harassing their wives about dowry? How do you know I am against the amendment? Don't try to personalize individuals without any concrete evidence. If you have equal freedom to voice for the amendment, I too have the voice to protest against the language used in the petition. Hope you read the petition (petition praying amendment for 498A Section of IPC in Rajyasabha). Domestic Violence cases too are referred to 498A cases which are not supposed to do so. But, who bothers? No patience and awareness about the acts. Ending up blaming men and women viceversa. Treat women too are Human. Men and women too have Human Rights. Mutual respect, understanding and cooperation only going to solve the issue.

Everyone knows this law is widely misused, Even Renuka chaodhury admited its misused 98%.

Women Loby and NCW want some figure to get grant from Government so they encourage women to file 498a case, and they know Every 498a Ends in Divorce, that is not solving women problem if any, nor NCW support such women.

498a not only effect men but his mother and sisters too, NCW thinks they are not women...

and ofcourse Galli Aruna thinks same.

This Amendment is not asking punishment to every women but those who misuse it. becuase of misuse now all thinks every women file false case. and those who really harassed for Dowry do not get justice.

and if Dowry taker is going to jail then Giver should go 1st.

I would have appreciated if you disclosed your identity. In this post, I have not taken a pro-stand for 'only'women. We are against the petition which used gender discriminative language and abusive language towards women. If the law is misused, concerned departments must take measure to curb the misuse and punish who misuse.Why should not we consider women who suffer in rural areas? are not they human. Education always not matters. Our attitude towards women,men,beliefs and the way we behave in the society always matters a lot. Each individual must take responsibility towards protecting the family. why only women should be blamed? Hope you read the petition praying for amendment of 498a section, IPC in Rajyasabha. yes, we also have brothers and sisters. Let us not discriminate women and men.

You mean to protect one women, we are making lots of other women suffer.

You know IF one women makes a false 498a, entire family of man and relatives loose their life's.

Before facing this false 498a, I used to respect women a lot. But now I am scared of women, who lies lies and lies.

I personally think that issue is one of the issues that fully summarizes this: Every rich wants to be richer, by making poor poorer. Every human has tendency to use his/her power against humans with less power and make use of it. Similarly, since women are weak physically (eventually even made weaker in society by men), men have always been taking that as advantage to show their power against women. Even if you look at the current marriages, girls are of lesser age than boys, less educated/qualified, etc etc.. This has always been misused in terms of asking for dowry, power etc.
Men have been forgetting that their mother also is a women and women should be most respected. Forget giving respect, they are not even given equal status! That is how unfortunate world we are in.

Thank you for your comments.In any community, marriages are not performed in same gotra within the same community in India. We are aware of that. But at the same time nobody has the right to kill innocents. In few cases, we come across people marrying in same gotra (very rare). When the society is not accepting the same, why it should kill the innocent people. Is KHAP panchayats necessary? Who has given the right to kill people? That is the issue. Human rights and constitutional rights will be at trouble. Respect the views of Jats (as a community)but not the killing of people. Not only in Haryana, UP and other parts of the country, especially rural India (urban scenario also) is not able to digest the decisions taken by the youngsters especially in the process of love marriages. Why don't the KHAP panchayats and elders of the community, educated youth try to counsel the youth (proactively). I am not criticizing any particular community, I am bothered about the killings... Why should any body kill?? As you correctly mentioned Mr.Ravi, it is all emotions... counsel the emotions... then half of the problems will be solved.. But don't encourage killings... whatever it may be...each one of us have a right to live.
